Almost mixed and mastered, songs keep appearing on the internet.
The last of the vocals were completed at Greg’s yesterday on a hot Memorial Day. We have enough music for a double album and are in the process of long distance notes with Tom “Now New Hampshire” Vale to piece together mixes.
As customary practice, we’ll borrow some horn talents from Alan, Greg and Lauren to fill out the sound even more and decide which of the nine part vocal harmonies will make the cut. And probably more hand claps and shakers and jingle bells will be thrown in for safe measure.
In the meantime, Greg’s studio brought this creepy gem of amusement:

Congrats to our sister band, Unicycle Loves You, on their successful record release show! All parties involved got a mention in the Chicago Reader:
Three-fourths of late local “goof rock” outfit Let’s Get Out Of This Terrible Sandwich Shop—Tony Mendoza, Thea Lux, and Tom Vale—have a new band with Nicole Vitale of Unicycle Loves You, named, refreshingly briefly, Nurse Novels. They opened the release show for Unicycle Loves You’s Mirror Mirror last week at Schubas. Unicycle is currently on a U.S. tour that includes a slot opening for Weezer in Peoria, two dates with Yo Gabba Gabba!, and a week of gigs around CMJ.
